Description
Fluconazole Tablet is an antifungal medication used to treat and prevent various fungal infections. It works by inhibiting the growth and reproduction of the fungal organism by interfering with the synthesis of its cell membrane.
Fluconazole Tablet kills fungi by interfering with the fungal cell membrane structure, which is a critical requirement for the viability of the fungal organism. It does so by interfering with the process of an enzyme named lanosterol demethylase, which is required for the creation of ergosterol, a dominant part of the fungal cell membrane. By interfering with the formation of ergosterol, fluconazole disrupts the fungus’s cell membrane, causing it to die.
